Olympique de Marseille formalized this Wednesday the arrival of French international side Jonathan Clauss, 29, from Lens.
Lens right-back Jonathan Clauss signed up for Olympique de Marseille on Wednesday. The defender of the Blues finished 4th best passer in L1 last season (11 assists).
On Tuesday, OM president Pablo Longoria told a press conference that an “agreement in principle” had been reached with Lens for the arrival of the 29-year-old French international side.

Jonathan Clauss started with the France team last March and was lined up again in June for the Nations League (4 selections).
As soon as this transfer is made official, Jonathan Clauss should therefore join the Marseille workforce leaving for a one-week internship in England, with two preparation matches on the program, against Middlesbrough (D2 ENG, July 22) and the Spaniards of Betis Sevilla (July 27).
The pre-season should end with a gala match against AC Milan on July 31 at the Vélodrome, before OM enter the L1 competition on Sunday August 7 at home against Reims.
Alsatian Jonathan Clauss, a center specialist, turned professional at US Quevilly-Rouen in 2017, before playing for two seasons in Germany, at Arminia Bielefeld. He then joined Lens in the summer of 2020.
