Rather favorable conditions for the coming night but the lights are still not fixed in Gironde

This Wednesday morning, after the Council of Ministers, Olivier Véran spoke about the fires in Gironde and the question of preventive measures. “We will talk again about the particular situation of the Gironde, with the function of pruning which consists of clearing trees, preventing the trees from sticking to each other to avoid flashing fires. There, there was a kind of particularism local, based on a text which dated from the 15th century, and which means that the pruning had not been done in good conditions”.

Tell me it’s not true… how sad really…. (NB pruning is for trees in town and in gardens…)

The mega fire of Landiras is in a PLANTED forest and therefore over maintained…
