Covid Ameli isolation certificate: how to obtain it to declare a work stoppage to your employer?

What is the isolation certificate used for?

The isolation certificate is used to justify your situation to your employer and thus benefit from compensation to compensate for your work stoppage. For example, if you are positive for Covid-19, you must isolate yourself. But if you are unable to continue your work (your state of health does not allow it, your job cannot be done by teleworking) then you need the certificate of isolation.

The purpose of the isolation certificate is therefore to clarify your situation with your employer. Your declaration of staying at home is sent directly to your company to justify your inability to be present at the office. On the other hand, it allows you to obtain a work stoppage if you are not able to telecommute : either because your job does not allow it, or because you report symptoms that prevent you from doing so. It is from this certificate that you can be compensated if you are unable to work.

How to obtain this certificate of isolation?

A declaration of home care is necessary in order to obtain a certificate of isolation. To get it, connect to the website Declare.ameli.fr where you can complete a questionnaire to certify your situation. After the health insurance checks, you will first receive an e-mail which will act as a certificate, before obtaining the final paper (within 7 to 12 days). For people who do not have computer tools, you can ask your doctor to complete this document.
