Today, during a Warrior’s Den livestream, Ubisoft announced that Medjay, the newest For Honor champion, releases on July 28.
At the beginning of Year 6 Season 2, Bolthorn uses the power of stolen relics to save his people, but in the process unintentionally unleashes a curse on Heathmore. The last descendants of the Neferkha pharaohs now travel from the far reaches of the lands to break that curse. This Medgai hero is the first Egyptian hero to join the cast and is the second Outlander hero to be added to the faction after the pirate hero from last year.
As one of the Outlanders, Medjay traveled from the far desert lands to track down and stop the Stolen Relics Force. The Medjayi are famous for being multi-skilled warriors with a double fighting style, armed with a fan-shaped axe and a double-axe. They carry these weapons to be able to adapt to any situation they encounter because the Medjaye are strong and valiant heroes. The fan-shaped ax is used as a weapon with a wide range and is best suited for team battles, while the double-barreled ax gives an advantage in single-player battles.
Starting July 28, players will be able to purchase the new Medjay Hero in first-party stores for $7.99 as part of a bundle that includes the new hero, an exclusive trinket, 1 Elite Outfit, 7 days of Hero Status, and 3 scavenger chests. Players can also unlock the in-game hero on August 11 for 15,000 Steel.
Coinciding with the launch of the new hero, For Honor is available to play free for a week on PS4, PS5 and PC starting July 28. Free Week players will have access to the regular version of For Honor, and people who want to continue fighting after the free period ends can transfer their progress and heroes to the full game once they have been purchased. Also on July 28, For Honor will bring back the referral program, where old and newly invited players can earn rewards for inviting their friends into battle.
