Thirteen years after having terrified us, the diabolical Esther is back in a new film called “Esther 2: the origins”. As its name suggests, it is a prequel. Check out the very first trailer above before it hits theaters on August 17th.

Thirteen years after terrifying viewers, “Esther” will soon be back in theaters. This is not a sequel but a prequel, which will take place when she arrives in the United States, after escaping from her mental hospital in Estonia.
As you know if you have seen the first film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the diabolical heroine is not an orphan girl but an adult. Suffering from a rare disease that gives her the appearance of a child, the one who is actually called Lena Klammer is a dangerous psycho killer.
In this new feature film directed by William Brent Bell (The Boy) we will attend his first murders, years before she was adopted by the Coleman family. Thus, she will once again sow terror in an adoptive family.
Isabella Fuhrman is back to play Lena. Aged 24 at the time of the filming of this prequel (she was 12 during the first film), the actress has been digitally rejuvenated and using makeup. She had to get back into character, and act like a 10-year-old. A real challenge for the actress.
