Virginie Efira, Vincent Lacoste, Romain Duris or even Benoît Poelvoorde… In recent months, many movie stars have come to Brittany for filming purposes. You are given the release date of these films in which you may be able to recognize some landscapes or places from your daily life.
1 “Plancha” on October 26, 2022 at the cinema
Just a year ago, last July, the film crews of “Plancha”, the sequel to the hit film “Barbecue” by Éric Lavaine released in 2014, landed in the town of Névez (Finistère), before go through Pont-Aven, Quimperlé or even Bannalec.
The locals had been able to come across the cast made up, as for the first part shot in the Cévennes, of Lambert Wilson, Franck Dubosc, Guillaume de Tonquédec or even Jérôme Commandeur. Bagad, traditional dancers and pancake makers will be there for this comedy, which will be released on October 26, 2022 in theaters.
2 “The Musketeers” on April 5, 2023 at the cinema
In September, it was the turn of Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris, François Civil and Eva Green to invest the ramparts of Saint-Malo. The whole team was complete for the filming of “Les Mousquetaires”, an adaptation of the novel by Alexandre Dumas. They will have stayed more than a month there, oscillating between the Castle, the Fort National or the beach of the Eventail. The film will be divided into two parts. The first is scheduled for April 5, 2023, the second for December 13, 2023.
3 “Good behavior”, March 29, 2023 at the cinema
In May of this year, Jonathan Barré (“Les Vedettes”, “La Folle Histoire de Max et Léon”), the director from Quimper, chose to return to his native Brittany to shoot his third film, “Bonne conduct”. The film crew set up their cameras for several days in Douarnenez, but also in Brest and on the Ile de Sein.
In the cast of this film, we find in particular the duo Palmashow (David Marsais and Grégoire Ludig) and Laure Calamy (César for best actress for “Antoinette in the Cévennes”). If the filming did not end until July 6, a release date, namely March 29, 2023, has already been confirmed.
4 “Murders in Pont-Aven”, end of 2022 on France 3
Brittany also attracts TV movies! At the beginning of June, the “Meurtres à Pont-Aven” teams settled in Melgven, in the Keranével area, as well as in Concarneau. The program is scheduled for the end of 2022, on France 3.
5 No dates yet for “Sur la Branche”, “Rodeo” and “Le Temps d’aimer”
On the other hand, no date has yet been announced for “Sur la Branche”, the film by Marie Garel-Weiss shot in Rennes in April with Benoît Poelvoorde and Agnès Jaoui, “Rodeo”, a film by Delphine Deloget with Virginie Efira, shot in March in Brest, or “Le Temps d’aimer” by Katell Quillévéré with Anaïs Demoustier and Vincent Lacoste, filmed in Dinard and Locronan in May.
