Kompromat: Gilles Lellouche in a breathtaking thriller
Expected in French theaters on September 7, Kompromat is the new production by Jérôme Salle (Wide Winch, Zulu, The Odyssey). Very largely inspired by a true story of a French victim of a plot organized by the FSB (successor to the KGB), the film is carried by Gilles Lellouche.

He interprets the role of Mathieu Roussel, arrested and imprisoned under the eyes of his daughter. A French expatriate, he is the victim of a “kompromat”, false compromising documents used by the russian secret service to harm an enemy of the state. Threatened with a life sentence, he has only one option left: to escape, and reach France by his own means…
In line with Marathon Man Where The Three Days of the Condor, the film features an ordinary man trapped in a big machine ready to do anything to crush him. With a single goal: survival, whatever the cost.
For the writing of the screenplay, Jérôme Salle collaborated with Caryl Férey, detective novel writer. They had previously worked together on Zuluwhich was an adaptation of a novel by Férey published in 2009.
Alongside Gilles Lellouche, we find Joanna Kulig, muse of Polish filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski (The woman of the Vth, Ida, Cold War)
