Punch operation. The American platform Hulu has just released a new trailer for “Mike”, its limited series on the life and career of Mike Tyson, one of the most formidable boxers of the 1980s who would rise to the rank of icon of his sport. He will also be talked about because of his multiple excesses, accusations of domestic violence, or his conviction for rape in 1992.
The images also show the key moments of his childhood, the moment when he is beaten up by a group of children, the burglaries, all this on the voice-over of his mother moralizing his son. We see him entering a gym for the first time, face to face with a ring. It is in this space that his coach Cus d’Amato (played by Harvey Keitel) will teach him to become a legendary boxer.
The cast sees Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight) playing adult Mike Tyson. He gives the reply to Harvey Keitel, Russell Hornsby, Laura Harrier, Li Eubanks, Olunike Adeliyi, or even BJ Minor. Created by Steven Rogers (Me, Tonya) “Mike” will be visible in France from September 8 on Disney+, on the occasion of Disney+ Day.
