An extremely rare malformation, considered a gift from heaven. Photos circulating on social networks indicate that the child has two legs and two extra arms transplanted in the stomach. This malformation remains very rare and only a few cases have been identified worldwide. “A miracle of nature”, say the locals.
The main assumption made is usually the presence of a parasitic twin. Another embryo would have started to develop at the embryonic stage, in the mother’s uterus. But its growth would have been interrupted and its limbs would have “attached” to the other fetus, a bit like a Siamese. The other hypothesis could probably be a case of simple polymeliaa birth defect that results in a higher than normal limb count.
Anyway, the baby girl was born healthy. She has since been taken to a medical center to receive appropriate care. Operations are usually needed to remove the extra limbs and correct any other malformations.
