Foods rich in beta-carotene
Foods rich in beta-carotene, carotenoids or provitamin A are the pros of the tan. Consumed regularly (at least four times a week), these foods activate melanin synthesis and prepare the epidermis for UV rays. They also make it possible to make the tan last if you eat them regularly during exposure. Where to find them in all orange and red fruits and vegetables (sweet potato, pumpkin, carrot, apricot, tomato, pepper, mango, etc.). But also in spinach and dandelions. In our summer salads, we combine them with a source of lipids (seeds, vegetable oils, etc.), which promotes the assimilation of provitamin A.
