Season 2 of Marvel’s What If…? Through Disney+ in early 2023, with a third season confirmed sometime in the future.
This news was confirmed during a Marvel session about the studio’s cartoon projects at San Diego Comic-Con, where a behind-closed-doors preview was shown showing some of the heroes and villains from the multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain Carter, Steve Rogers as Iron Man, Black Widow and Hela from Thor Ragnarok. Young Starlord, Ego, Scarlet Witch, Mandarin, and more. The preview also reviewed Thanos fighting Captain America from the movie Infinity War.

The final part of the preview takes place in 1602, a year old Marvel comics fans will remember. Marvel 1602 was a 2003 eight-issue short series written by Neil Gaiman. The story follows Marvel superheroes from the Elizabethan era, including Nick Fury, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Doctor Doom, and more.
