Patrick Wayne Swayze is an American actor, dancer, choreographer, singer, songwriter, and film producer known for playing distinctive lead roles including romantic, tough, and comedic characters. He appeared in dirty dancing (1987), road house (1989), Ghost (1990) alongside Demi Moore, point break (1991) or even The City of Joy (1992). In 2009, Swayze died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 57, a few weeks after filming the crime series The Beast.

The film is also based on a moving interview given by his wife Lisa, unfailing support in bad times, in the face of alcoholism and illness in particular.
