The Permacooltour is a collective adventure that brings together around ten members aged between 20 and 30 years old. “It’s an idea from Alexis Marcotte, whom I met while working alongside him in Les Jardins Respectueux, an association of educational gardens based in Cognac”, explains Kevin Simon. He discovered permaculture in Cambodia while making a documentary in Southeast Asia, May our joy remain.
“Permaculture is not just about growing vegetables, points out Kevin Simon. This also concerns housing, the economy, education…”
At the University of Alvéoles in the Drôme, where he spent three months as a companion, Kevin Simon specialized in nursery culture and more specifically in the creation of forest gardens. “We are taught to imagine the landscapes of tomorrow by taking into account the issues related to global warming.”
And to conclude: “The Permacooltour rolls on, with the wind in its sails, thirsty for learning, curious to see and support this new world that is being born in the territory.”
