OnePlus will unveil its next high-end 10-series smartphone, the OnePlus 10T, in a few days. Just before the presentation, the manufacturer has already officially lifted the veil on some technical characteristics.
Ahead of its conference, OnePlus has already announced what we can expect for the photo part of its next OnePlus 10T. Unfortunately, it will be nowhere near as interesting as the OnePlus 10 Pro.
On its official website, OnePlus has published an article that reveals everything about the photo part of its OnePlus 10T, whose official release is scheduled for August 3. Although it is a high-end smartphone that will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipit seems that the Chinese manufacturer has made important concessions on the cameras.
Indeed, OnePlus reveals that the OnePlus 10T will bet on a photo configuration with three cameras, as is often the case in its smartphones. However, this will be far from up to the OnePlus 10 Pro that we were able to test, since it will be much less efficient sensors.
The photo part of the OnePlus 10T will be worthy of a OnePlus Nord
As revealed by OnePlus, the OnePlus 10T will be equipped with a 50 MP IMX766 main sensor, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor. If that reminds you of anything, it’s because it’s the same camera setup as the recent OnePlus Nord 2T or the previous year’s OnePlus Nord 2. On paper, it is even worse than the new Nothing Phone (1).
However, the results should not be identical to the OnePlus Nordin particular thanks to best image processor of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, but also to the new technologies that the smartphone takes advantage of. OnePlus will notably introduce the “Imagine Clarity Engine (ICE)”, bringing an updated algorithm that allows the device to capture photos faster and with higher levels of detail. On the side of the selfies, we will find a 16 MP camera.
Unfortunately, the OnePlus 10T will not benefit from the partnership with Hasselblad. Either way, we should soon hear more about the smartphone as we get closer to the launch. As a reminder, we expect a Never before seen 150 W fast charginga battery of 4800mAh, a flat screen 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz and up to 16 GB of RAM, a first.
