Music producer Dieter Bohlen has revived old Modern Talking hits on the big stage. The 68-year-old performed at an open-air festival in Bonn on Saturday evening, where hit stars mainly played their songs. Bohlen was intended as the highlight of the evening – and presented, among other things, “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul”, “Cheri Cheri Lady” and “Brother Louie”.
The songs are still well known as hits by Modern Talking – the pop duo that Bohlen once formed with Thomas Anders. “Hello sweet bunnies!”, the musician, who soon wants to go on a whole comeback tour, greeted the audience.
The pop titan then reminded that his return to the jury of the casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS) is imminent. “I have a question: Who is also happy that I’m back at DSDS? Yes, that’s cool!” He exclaimed.
Bohlen was not there in the past, the 19th season of the format. In July, however, RTL announced that he was coming back for the upcoming 20th and final DSDS season. Bohlen said in Bonn about the break from the show: “We just had a bit of stress, like you sometimes have at work.” Now it’s “joy, pancakes and I don’t know what” again.
