- Accessibility information
- View images of accessibility features in a new window. The 12-mile-long gravel access road leading to this site has a rough, rutted surface with a 1/4-mile segment sometimes covered in sand drifts from the nearby Weiser Sand Dunes. The site has 3 information kiosks with pay stations sitting on concrete pads. Erosion may cause a lip between the ground and these pads. At approximately 50-yard intervals throughout the site, 16 accessible single-vault toilets sit on concrete pads. Paved pathways lead to the toilets from the packed-gravel loop roads. Potable water is available from 12 spigots that are generally near the toilets and paved pathways. The spigots are operated with an easy-to-use paddle valve. To prevent damage from frozen pipes, the water supply is turned off in October each year. The upper campground has 23 campsites: 19 individual and 4 group sites. The lower campground has 21 campsites, 1 designated for RVs. Although none of the campsites are designated specifically for accessibility, the campground is generally flat and most if not all campsites could accommodate visitors with limited mobility. Each campsite has a packed gravel parking spur and a picnic table with recessed legs that sits on a concrete slab and can accommodate a person in a wheelchair. Each site also has a standing grill as well as a 12-inch-high fire ring with grill attachment. There are 2 concrete boat ramps with docks that some visitors use as fishing piers. The docks have bumpers but no protective railing. Cell phone reception is strong at this site. Descriptions and photos uploaded March 2026. Please note that actual on-the-ground conditions may vary due to natural events (e.g., weather, wildfires, erosion), normal wear and tear, or site improvements.
